ABQ365 highlights the New Mexico Bowl, native block events, and different upcoming holidays
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – For the first time in a decade, thousands of voters across the state may face an entirely different group of Congressional candidates to be selected on the state’s new Congressional District map. The new card was signed by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham on Friday, but approval is fraught with controversy and potential lawsuits.
The map outlines a number of changes for some of the state’s largest communities and redraws the state’s political boundaries since 2012. The map redraws the state’s three congressional electoral districts and is the end result of the redistribution process, which aims to create fair opportunities for New Mexico residents to elect their representatives.
