ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man accused of stealing more than half a million dollars from his employer is now federally charged. Arturo Archuleta, 49, was charged Monday in federal court on three cases of tax evasion.
According to the indictment, Archuleta worked as an office manager at a chiropractic clinic in Albuquerque from 2014 to June 2018. He is accused of not filing taxes from 2014 to 2016. The indictment also alleges that Archuleta made incorrect entries and changes in his employer’s accounting records and caused his employer not to file IRS Forms 1099 or W-2 that record his income. Archuleta allegedly used a bank account with a fake name and handled its affairs in a way that would withhold its taxable income.
