Albuquerque Meals Truck Proprietor Hopefully Stolen Smoker is returned
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – A local business owner has run out of essential tools in his trade.
“Came out of church the other day and went around the corner to see that my smoker was not attached to my food truck, and so I was shocked,” said Corley Ayers.
Corley Ayers owns Big Dawgs Mobile BBQ. He smokes meat on the spot with his smoker he tows behind his food truck.
Sometime in the past few days, thieves started with the smoker parked in his brother’s neighborhood near Edith and Broadway. Without them, Ayers can’t do business, but he keeps the faith.
“I know that the god I serve and the humanity we have on this planet can actually turn this into a good situation,” he said.
Ayers says this happened at the worst possible time because he smokes a lot of turkeys for Thanksgiving. He’ll be dealing with the other smoker he’s having.
He started cooking at YAFL games seven years ago. Now he is invited to major events.
If you know who has their smoker, call the police.
