Albuquerque Police are searching for a driver who nearly ran over the officer

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – It took years before a plan to redesign the city’s neighborhood associations was drawn up. However, the city council shot down those plans this week. Neighborhood associations have a lot of influence on city decisions – from building stadiums in your community to making safety improvements. Now a plan is in the air to bring more structure to its execution.

“Provisional guidelines have been put in place temporarily restricting the formation of new neighborhood clubs whose proposed borders would conflict with existing clubs, and they continue to exist,” an adviser said during the council meeting. “To be recognized, a new neighborhood association or coalition must allow any resident or company to become a member.”
