Albuquerque ranks 120th among the many finest locations to stay in america
NATIONAL (CBS NEWSPATH / KRQE) – US News and World Report publishes its annual list of the best places to live in the country. This year the survey looked at things like labor market, value and quality of life.
Study finds New Mexico to be the worst state to live in
Boulder, Colorado tops US News & World Report’s Best Places to Live List for the second straight year. The city’s labor market performed better than other metropolitan areas during the pandemic. And Boulder meets other important criteria for people saying the pandemic has changed their minds about where they live.
US News and World Report put Albuquerque at number 120 on the list. It’s also the only New Mexico city on the list. The publication highlighted Albuquerque’s rich culture, access to art galleries, and its unique culinary and brewing scene. It is also said that the cost of living in New Mexico is slightly below the national average. However, Albuquerque has one of the highest property tax rates in the state. Meanwhile, Albuquerque was voted # 133 for Best Boarding House Places.

The magazine examines data on the country’s 150 most populous metropolitan areas and weighs it against the answers to a desirability survey from more than 3,600 people across the country.
According to the US News & World Report, the pandemic has changed their minds about where they live for a third of Americans. 11% have already moved or are planning to move. US News & World Report says we may see big differences in migration in a few years due to the pandemic.
