Albuquerque teen killed in a crash on the best way again to his commencement ceremony

Earlier in the day he attended the Manzano High School graduation ceremony.

“He was planning to drive to UTI in Phoenix, Arizona, as a mechanic. He loved his car,” said Nicholas’ aunt Erin Delores.

Delores said her nephew left his reception to bring his friends home. She said he crashed on the way back to the party.

Police say Nicholas drove too fast and crashed into an oncoming car.

“Think twice before you do this because you don’t want your family members to go through this,” Delores said. “It’s very tragic what happened. It just had to be my nephew.”

The family set up a GoFundMe to pay for the funeral expenses. Click here to donate.
