ALBUQUERQUE, NM – An amber alert was sounded on a teenage girl and boy who were abducted by their father from the Navajo nation of Utah Thursday night, according to authorities.

The Navajo Nation Police Department said three-month-old Braidin and 16-month-old Bailey Begay were reported missing by their mother at around 4:20 p.m.

Police said the children were last seen with their father, Brandon Begay, 35, who had picked them up from Aneth, Utah.

The NNPD said Brandon Begay threatened to harm himself and that the children would be at risk if not found.

The three are believed to be seated in a brown and white 2005 Ford F250 extended cab with a white temporary license from Arizona.
