BCSO Will increase DWI Checkpoints Throughout New Mexico

SANTA FE, NM (KRQE) – New Mexico is counting the time to meet the governor’s goal of fully vaccinating 60% of the state to be fully reopened by June 30th. In order to meet the deadline, additional New Mexicans must be fully vaccinated by 21,307 Thursday evening.

If only a fraction of the people eligible for the booster had made it by Thursday night, we’d get the governor’s goal in time. The Ministry of Health said there are two things that are holding them back. “It’s not over until it’s over, so we’re working really hard on it,” said Dr. David Scrase, the New Mexico Human Resources Secretary.
