NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A storm system that will hit New Mexico on Tuesday will bring high winds, colder temperatures, and rain and snow in the mountains to parts of the state.

A storm system will invade New Mexico on Tuesday morning, sweeping a cold front across the state and bringing in much cooler temperatures for most Tuesday afternoons. With this storm there will also be strong winds tomorrow. Gusts over 60 mph will be possible over the mountain peaks and onto the eastern slopes of the central mountains and the eastern plains. While many other areas in the state could see gusts of up to 45 mph in the afternoon. This storm will bring spotty chance of rain to north and west of New Mexico, with snow over 9,000 ‘in the northern mountains.
