Independence Day weekend in Albuquerque is likely to be warm with daily afternoon showers.

The forecast of the National Weather Service in Albuquerque for Saturday shows a maximum temperature of 89 degrees with a rain probability of 30%.

A few showers and thunderstorms can be expected in the afternoon.

Albuquerque could hit a high of 92 degrees on July 4th, which will be mostly sunny in the morning.

On Sunday afternoon thunderstorms are possible and there is a 20% chance of rain in the metropolitan area.

Winds of 5 to 10 miles per hour can accompany thunderstorms any afternoon or evening.

In the night of Sunday it will probably be partly cloudy with lows of 65 degrees.

A high of 93 degrees is expected in Albuquerque on Monday. There is a 30% chance of rain in the metropolitan area.

Flash floods are possible across the state this weekend when storms bring moderate to heavy rainfall.
