Ghost walks happen in Outdated City Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – New Mexico’s oldest and most famous ghost tour celebrates 20 years of horror and thrills. The tours have been featured on the Travel Channel, Weird Travels, The Dead Files, Dead Famous, Breaking Bad – Walter White’s Funeral, In Plain Sight, and more.

Knowledgeable guides lead visitors through the Old Town Plaza, telling stories of historical characters who encounter their untimely death and the ghostly sightings that followed shortly thereafter. Guests of all ages can experience the retelling and see where the sightings took place.

Tour Guide Charlie Frates has been a tour guide for nine years and said his favorite part about his job is the people. “We had guests from all over the world all year round. Your energy brings our energy up. What we do is give them a great time. It’s one of the best date nights, family nights, ”said Frates.

Vincent Montoya is a ghost hunter and tour guide and looks forward to the unique experiences with each group. “My thrill on this tour is not just being able to tell stories about all the ghosts down here, but hopefully catching something while we are out here with a group that has happened before,” said Montoya.

Montoya said they saw people from all over the world but still got a lot of Albuquerque guests wanting to be tourists in their own city. “I was 18 last night, everyone was from Albuquerque. Neither of them had been on the tour before. So since you’re from Albuquerque, you’ve never been on the tour, you’ll come here and find things you never knew were down here, ”said Montoya.

While the Ghost Tours run year-round, they’re especially popular during the Halloween season. For more information on booking a tour, visit
