Hazardous waste occasion takes place in Albuquerque subsequent week

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – A new campaign educates beer fanatics across the country about the land of their ancestors who is now their favorite brewery. Albuquerque’s Bow and Arrow Brewing is the first Native American-owned brewery and was built on land that once belonged to the Tiwa.

Just this week Shyla Sheppard and her wife Missy launched the Native Land label. There’s a spot on the can for every brewery across the country to highlight whose land they’re on now. “It’s critical. Our communities have been through a lot for generations, and I think part of the healing and advancement process is recognizing the past but also focusing on the issues that matter to us today,” Shyla said.
