Household raises cash to cowl funeral bills for mom killed in Albuquerque

Her family organized a car wash and cake sale on Sunday morning to raise money for a funeral.

“She was a very bright and happy person,” said Galbreth.

Sanchez’s family don’t know who pulled the trigger or why, but investigators said a suspect may have run away.

“Whoever did that was just so wrong, so wrong, and guess what, you have no soul. You know what if they catch you and find you – the police are damn good ”. It can be today, maybe tomorrow, maybe in years. They will find you, “said Patricia Martinez, Sanchez’s stepmother.

The family said their two birth children, aged nine and twelve, witnessed the murder.

“Not me or anyone in my family, my little sister and brother, deserve this. They’ve been through a lot in their lives, even though they’re so young,” said Galbreth.

They want the killer caught, but for now, they just want to say goodbye.

“I know she’ll still be up there in heaven, but it’s just hard that I can’t see her,” said Galbreth.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with costs.
