ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Detectives investigate after a man was fatally shot and killed in southwest Albuquerque Friday afternoon.

Daren DeAguero, an Albuquerque police spokesman, said officers responded to a shooting in the 8700 block of Spring Sage SW near Unser and Blake at around 2:20 p.m.

He said the police found a lifeless man who was apparently shot.

More than a dozen people gathered in front of a house, many of them crying and hugging. Two mobile crime labs were idle on the street behind the crime scene tape.
