New Mexico reviews 6 new deaths, 827 extra COVID-19 instances

  • A woman in her 70s from Bernalillo County. The person was hospitalized with underlying illnesses.
  • A man in his 70s from Bernalillo County. The person had framework conditions.
  • Another man in his 70s from Bernalillo County. The person had previous illnesses and was living at the Skies Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque.
  • A woman in her 60s from Chaves County. The person was hospitalized with underlying illnesses.
  • A woman in her 50s from Lea County. The person was hospitalized with underlying illnesses.
  • A woman in Roosevelt County in her 80s. The person had pre-existing conditions and was living with Goodlife Senior Living in Portales.

The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 4,518.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 827 other COVID-19 cases. As of Tuesday, New Mexico has reported a total of 232,614 cases.

  • 1 new case among people detained by federal authorities in the federal prison facility in the district of Otero
  • 1 new case among inmates of the New Mexico Correctional Department at Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility, Doña Ana District
  • 1 new case among inmates of the New Mexico Correctional Department at the Western New Mexico Correctional Facility in the Cibola District

The state reported that 406 people are currently being hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19.
