New Mexico studies eight new deaths, 578 extra COVID-19 instances

  • A woman in her 50s from Mora County. The person was hospitalized.
  • A man in his 70s from Roosevelt County.
  • A woman in her 70s from Sandoval County. The person was hospitalized with underlying illnesses.

The death toll of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 4,585.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 578 other COVID-19 cases. As of Thursday, New Mexico has reported a total of 239,006 cases.

  • 6 new cases in Rio Arriba County
  • 19 new cases in Roosevelt County
  • 23 new cases in Sandoval County
  • 42 new cases in San Juan County

The state reported that 397 people are currently being hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19.

As of Thursday, there have been 206,925 COVID-19 cases classified as recovered by the NMDOH.
