Pedestrian dies on the scene of the accident in northwest Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – The Justice Department announced in a press release Friday that two people from Albuquerque have faced federal firearms violations. David “Flaco” Chavez, 43, and Ednamay De la Rosa, 38, were charged with possession of firearms and ammunition. Chavez is currently on pre-trial detention and De La Rosa is on pre-trial detention pending her hearing, scheduled for Monday.

A criminal complaint alleged that FBI agents from the Albuquerque Violent Crime Gang Task Force, along with BCSO detectives and APD officers, carried out federal search warrants in Chavez and De La Rosa homes on June 2. Officials say ammunition was found at Chavez’s home. The ad said that the search of De La Rosa’s apartment found four firearms and various types of ammunition, as well as a silencer and a 50-round drum magazine.
