US Naval Academy graduated three of the ABQ »Albuquerque Journal
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A trio of Albuquerque natives await to graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland on May 28. Two plan to take assignments in the Marine Corps and one in the Navy.
• Shea Auge earns a BS in Operations Research and a commission as a Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. She is a graduate of Hope Christian School.
• Joseph Greer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in quantitative economics and a commission as a Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. He is a graduate of the Albuquerque Academy.
• Jason Watlington has a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics and a Navy Ensign. He is a graduate of the Albuquerque Academy.
Founded in 1845, the company consists of more than 4,400 men and women representing every state in the United States and several other countries, according to a press release.
The US Naval Academy is recognized as one of the top five engineering schools for undergraduate students and is one of the top 20 liberal arts colleges according to US News and World Report. Graduates serve as NCOs in the Navy or the Marine Corps for a minimum of five years.
The personal closing and commissioning ceremony will take place at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
